Austin loved Africa and the community he spent time with there.  Because of his selfless work in the Harare orphanage system, his genuine desire to get to know everyone he met and became friends with, and his love of relationships, the community fell in love with him.  They were excited every time he visited and were devastated upon hearing of his passing.

In the past 10 years, Bridges transitional home has rented, fixed up, invested in land improvements, and settled into three separate houses.  As soon as a property is improved, the landlords take them away  to increase their profits based on the investments we made.  Our plan is to purchase a house with land that will be used for raising crops and animals to help with sustainability.
