Austin’s House

Austin’s House is a transitional home which provides Godly hope for young men and women through training and mentorship to empower them for a better future.

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart.”

What We Do (Bridges, soon to be Austin’s House):

  • Provide a safe environment from street life including drugs and crime

  • Provide food, clothing/uniforms, and housing

  • Give mentoring and spiritual guidance to build strong character

  • Aids in obtaining government identification which is needed for employment and assimilation into the community 

  • Pays for University and job training programs 

  • Encourage the young men to come back to visit the boys to see what is possible with hard work, determination, and a helping hand

Fundraising Needs:

  • Phase 1 The immediate need

    • Purchase the house and land for $240,000

  • Phase 2 Current and on-going needs

    • When initially joining Austin’s House, they need:

      • Government identification process— $30.-$275.

      • Clothing (shoes, uniforms, pants, underwear)— $300

    • Monthly 

      • Current rent— $700/month

      • Utilities— $200/month

      • Room and board— $100/month per resident

      • Transportation (Bus Pass)— $25/month

      • Haircuts/grooming— $25/month

    • Yearly

      • Tuition— $600/student

      • Books— $200 average per year
